RTO NO: 45458

Educators play a pivotal role in early childhood development. They nurture children’s wellbeing and growth within approved learning frameworks, employing a diverse set of skills and knowledge. Operating within established policies and procedures, they exercise discretion and judgment in their tasks, whether working independently or under guidance, which may not always be on-site.

Early childhood educators are employed across various settings including long day care centers, family day care, pre-schools, and kindergartens.

To attain this qualification, individuals must accumulate a minimum of 160 hours of practical experience in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia, as specified in the Assessment Requirements of competency units. These hours can be distributed across relevant competency units.
